Introducing Mr. Snuggles, aka Snugs!

Snugs is an adorable 6-month-old, 20-pound Cunucu pup from the island of Aruba — and we definitely named him Snuggles for a reason!

This sweet boy absolutely loves to curl up in your lap, soak up all the affection, and be right by your side. He’s happiest when he has a human to call his buddy — and, of course, his snuggle buddy!

Snugs and his siblings had a heartbreaking start to life. They were abandoned in Aruba when they were only four weeks old, and they’ve been in our care ever since. Snugs recently made his journey to the United States and, after spending his entire life surrounded by his siblings, has now arrived at a foster home where he’s experiencing life on his own for the very first time.

Naturally, being separated from his siblings after six months is a big adjustment, so this little guy could use some confidence building and reassurance as he learns that the world isn’t such a scary place. But he’s already doing great and making progress every day!

Otherwise, Snugs is your wonderfully typical puppy. He’s crate trained, working on potty training and leash training, rides well in the car, and does great with kids, dogs, and people. He isn’t currently living with a cat, so we can’t say for certain how he’ll do, but given his young age, we’re hopeful he could adjust well with a proper introduction.

More than anything, Snugs wants what his name suggests: someone to love, someone to follow around, and someone whose lap he can curl up in at the end of the day.

After everything this little guy has been through, we would love nothing more than to find him a patient, loving forever family who will help his confidence continue to blossom and show him that he’s finally home.
