Meet Copper!

Copper is an absolutely adorable 6-month-old girl from the island of Aruba, weighing about 25 pounds. She’s spayed, up to date on vaccines, and currently living in a foster home while she waits for her forever family.

Copper is OBSESSED with other dogs—seriously, all this girl wants to do is play! She also does well with cats. We think she would absolutely thrive in a home with another friendly, confident dog to show her the ropes, although another dog isn’t a requirement.

Copper loves the people in her foster home, but she can take a little time to warm up to new people. She just needs someone willing to give her a day or two, some patience, and the space to build trust at her own pace. Once she feels safe, her sweet and playful personality starts to shine.

Copper is doing great with all the important stuff, too! She walks well on leash, rides beautifully in the car, enjoys neighborhood walks, and does great in her crate. Her crate is her safe space, and she’s very comfortable relaxing there.

What Copper really needs is someone who understands that confidence takes a little time to build. She is a wonderful dog who just needs a patient person willing to let her settle in and realize she’s safe.
