Hi! I am Brutus, a friendly and independent boy looking for a best friend.

I was a homeless dog for as long as I can remember. Although I didn’t have everything a dog deserves, I had kind people looking after me and I led a care-free life. Sadly, this all came to an end one day when I got into a fight with a couple of vicious dogs. The attack left me with multiple wounds on my body. By the time I was found, I was more dead than alive.

I was brought to the vet immediately, where I spend quite some time. After a couple of weeks, the vet called Luna to make a decision. They expected me to die soon, was I going to die at the vet or would Luna want to take me home?

Of course they chose for the latter. They brought me to the sanctuary to fill my last days with love and happiness. But then something miraculous happened. Instead of growing weaker and weaker, I started to act more and more like a big puppy.

It’s been almost a year later now. I am a happy and healthy boy; nobody knows how, but I am glad Luna took me home that day.

Despite my gray hairs, I am still relatively young, and you can definitely see that in my energy level! I love going for walks, to explore the Safe Haven and to cuddle with my carers.

Since I am an ‘older’ dog, I might never get adopted, which means I’ll spend the rest of my life well looked after her at Luna’s Safe Haven (though I’ll never stop hoping that I’ll find my family one day).
